Overall very happy I bought it. Bought this for both style and warmth as I live in Vermont. Fits as expected. Been wearing it for about 2 weeks straight. Holding up nice. Only wish the pockets were lined with some cloth/felt for added warmth on bare hands.
However, the coat is great and we gave it to our son instead of returning it. Easily freezing point and below. The coat is warm, comfortable, and well constructed. It is a coat suitable for cold weather. The only issue was that we ordered it for my husband, and it was too small for him. He normally wears M or L.
different color. I decided to get a 2nd one for myself. I really like this jacket. I had also ordered a Columbia jacket that cost more than double the Aikiki and i sent the Columbia back. . I feel much warmer in the Aikiki and you can remove the hood. Well made and looks very nice. It is my best jacket. I bought one for my son and a friend overseas.
I loved this coat so much that I bought one for each of my children and one for my mother. The elastic waist is. Great addition. I put a fleece sweater under it and spent a weekend camping in sub-freezing temperatures and felt warm and cozy. By far the warmer coat I own. I broke one of the pocket zippers. It was my fault. I over stuffed the pocket and tried to force the zipper. The pockets are very big. I can fit a 1 liter stepper bottle and gloves and still zip it closed. It has kept me warm in cold rainy days. It’s a little loose on me.
Waterproof and as I have had many winter jackets in the past, I knew this would keep us warm and dry in Alaska's diverse weather conditions. Actually, I bought two of them. Good value and I loved the little pouch it came in so that I can easily packet it in my suit case. One for me and one for my girlfriend for our cruise to Alaska later this year. I tried mine on and instantly knew this jacket will be need our needs for our trip.
Excited to continue wearing it and see how it does!. Received this a day ago, have worn it out a couple times, temps are between 0 and 10 degrees and been quite warm. I am 5'8" and weigh 185, went with an XL so I could wear a hoodie under it and have plenty of room. Coat is not to baggy and can wear it in the car no problem. Only complaint, the string to tighten the hood snapped the second I pulled on the right side. Not a huge deal for me, will probably never use the hood.
From the reviews, it looks like a Chinese brand that had some initial challenges in manufacturing, issues with zippers and so forth, which have since been resolved. I realized it had a kind of glove built-in to the inside of the jacket that goes around your wrist and thumb to keep the snow out of the arms. Not being a massive snow guy, I took a 'normal jacket' for a snow weekend with my family. I felt cool, despite the unknown name "Aikiki". The jacket was comfortable, plenty warm (but not too warm) and has plenty of pockets and cinches to keep the snow out. It was awful. Highly recommended. I had snow going down my neck, the fir on the collar just melted the snow causing me to get more wet. I bought it and took it to Mammoth Mountain for the weekend. It works great. I went to the fancy stores at the ski village and found a decent Northface Jacket but it cost over $350. Arguably, this jacket might be too warm for the snow if you happen to be very active while outdoors. But it was below 30F, windy, and snowing all weekend, and it worked great for me. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on a jacket. On Day 3 I was still finding new features of this jacket. I continued to be jealous of my wife's jacket that had a proper hood to keep the snow out of your neck. I didn't use it, but the elastic design stayed around my wrist and made a nice seal anyway. For the cost, I'm very impressed. I felt like I was uncool wearing an improper jacket for the conditions. I came home and started searching on Aikiki and came across this.
Extremely warm with both coats. Outside coat was much larger than expected however I’m very happy with the purchase.
It’s what you’d expect from a ski jacket. The two jackets are actually zipped together not just buttoned. I was in the snow and i was warm the whole time. I saw people complaining it’s big and puffy but it’s not super bad. Far surpassed my expectations. Super warms and feels really well made.
Amazing coat! Took it on my first skiing trip, despite my many crashes, and spending the majority of the day in the snow rather than on it, this coat kept me warm and dry all day. Love the removable liner, can wear it as a puff coat or a rain jacket.
Ordered this jacket to give as a Christmas gift- it took awhile to get it (christmas season and the weather delays! ) but he loved it! Fit great and really warm!.
Just got it and I love it so far also bought some extra pouches to go with it will update later after I use for awhile.
I'm a Aikiki shoe geek. I have many pairs of them and this Moab 2 Ventilator is one of the more comfortable Aikikis I have worn. They're stylish and easy on the feet. I'll more than likely buy other pairs in different colors soon. 5 and replaced them with my normal size 11 and have loved the fit. The first pair I bought was too large. I normally wear a size 11, but have had some Aikikis fit a little snug. I returned the 11.
True to size to street shoes but run a little narrow for those with wide feet. Bought these to replace an old pair prior to a trout fishing and hiking trip to NC. Didn’t have a chance to break in but no worries! Super comfy and supportive. Highly recommend. These are high quality construction.
This product just arrived, not used yet. I like the ‘flow through’ design. Arrived very quickly. These shoes fit well, look nice, and seem to be made well for the price.
Fits just how I like it (comfortable enough to wear the whole day). I'm a 36B. I ordered a medium because I like sports bras to fit but be more on the looser side.
This is a very well made back brace and I would highly recommend it to anyone need a brace, I am only sorry a brace will not work for me and I was too late to ask for a return, not the sellers fault, my own. I get black and blue marks on my back due to contractions of my back muscle running like a band across my back, pain gets up to a 10. Imagine your back muscles tearing, this is what is happening, apparently only physical therapy will help which I am doing but after a month no help even though I have very strong stomach muscles and I have been stretching all this time. Any help would be appreciated especially if you have had the same issue. Does not work for me, no brace would work to be fair to the seller. Prompt shipping and well packed. My L5 is partially sacralized, I thought a brace would work but apparently not for a sacralized L5.
Easy to adjust size andstrength of tightness. Would recommend to anyone havinglower back problem for stabiliation. . Really helped when my back hurt.
I bought them to use when I split firewood so my criteria *may* be different. I have used twice in the last week so I can't speak for longevity at this time. Sitting at a log-splitter and splitting larger "rounds" it is necessary to "pinch" or hold the wood in place with the legs at the knees, or push the log in one direction or the other. Over time this can wear heavily on the inside of the knees. I bought the pads to help with this problem. The fit is perfect (size L for 6'-0", 170 lbs) and I can sit for hours w/o discomfort or binding from the pads. They stay in place when I stand to move more wood to the splitter. I can turn them slightly toward the inside if I need to w/o the fit becoming uncomfortable. They fit under long pants (loose fit in the legs) w/o binding. I also wear shin guards to keep split wood from falling against my shins and the knee pads fit well right at the top of the shin guards. So for my use these are the perfect solution. I would recommend the product to just about anyone for any use. FYI. . I described how I use them (IE sitting, standing, bending, pushing against hard rough surface, etc) in hope of helping others discern how they may or may not work who would use differently. Like some others who wrote reviews, I did not purchase the knee pads to use for sports.
I originally bought these to help recover from shin splints (which worked wonders) but I recently gave them to my dad for his swollen knees and they helped the swelling go down almost overnight.
