So to help out everyone else who is as confused as I was, I am 5’4” and 165 lbs and I ordered an XL (I normally would have bought a L for coats). At first I thought it might be a little bit big, but after wearing it for a while I love it just the way it is. I live off the coast of Lake Michigan, so we get some pretty cold winter days and nights. Lately, my evening walks with the dog have been around 35 degrees F. I love the extra snaps around the bottom of the coat to seal it off the from the cold. I also love the extra sleeves with the thumb holes, since picking up after the dog with winter gloves is impossible. I started off wearing the same amount of layers under the coat as I had with my old coat, and found myself getting TOO WARM. Since my winter days are only going to get colder and I had layers to shed, I am very happy with this! I also got caught off guard in the rain one night, and I stayed perfectly dry and warm. The pockets are also very nice and deep, which is great when I have to carry supplies for both the dog and myself. I couldn’t make sense of the manufacturer’s sizing chart (my measurements were either way below or way above what they had for any size), so I resorted to reading through the other reviews to find another woman around my size who was happy with the size that they bought.
Con esta chaqueta no necesite nada más y eso que estábamos a -40C. La compre para ir a Alaska en invierno, y fue la mejor decisión, a pesar de que no es cara protege muy bien del frío.
The inside is lined with fur and it's very lightweight but also protects from the wind and cold! Definitely recommend spending the money on this as it is very reasonable. I bought a large and I normally wear a medium. I live in Indiana, so this is perfect for the intermixing weather we have. This fits great! ! I normally wear a nice casual winter coat, however we made a bunch of winter plans and I wanted a nice windbreaker jacket (I didn't want to ruin my nice coat). This is now my everyday jacket. This is literally an all in one jacket. Since I would be moving all around for activities, I only wore a long sleeve t-shirt and I never got too hot.
I am really impressed with all the extra bells and whistles I found that weren't advertised in the description. I'm 5'3 and 170lb and bought a L. I have room in my hips and isn't too tight when I sit. There is a flap around the bottom back inner lining that you can snap together around your waist to keep snow/cool air from entering into the jacket while wearing. On the inside lining, there are 2 large pockets(one drop in and the other zipped) and a small loop to run your headphones through. The outside pockets are zipped pockets. The sleeves have a sturdy velcro strap around the wrist area for a more snug fit if needed, as well as an extension from the sleeve to cover more of your hands and holes to slip your thumbs through. I bought this jacket based on reviews for a road trip this winter. Great purchase!. This jacket is true to size.
If you plan on layering, I would say order what size you normally do unless you are like me and always size up for jackets. If you're smaller than me (I'm 5'3 and 150 pounds, small torso and thick bottom half) and plan on layering, I think a small would work. If I were to wear layers under this it would fit nicely, but I know I am not because I get hot SUPER easily and knew layers plus this jacket would be too much no matter how cold it was. ORIGINAL REVIEW (scroll down for update): I bought this jacket because I needed a decently thick, waterproof jacket because I am moving to the mountains for college. It's a steal for the price. It fits perfect for me to wear short sleeves or a thin long sleeve underneath, which is what I was planning on doing because I know this jacket will keep me plenty warm. I absolutely despise jackets and never wear one even if the temperature gets below freezing where I live, (which it almost never does), because I just get hot and started sweating extremely easily. I usually order medium jackets, but that size was too big and bulky for me in this jacket. However I knew I had no choice now because I would be in a lot colder weather than I'm used to where the winds make it seem 10x colder, but I wanted a jacket that wasn't bulky but would keep me warm. Although I have not tried it out in cold weather, (which I will update this review when I do), I am 100% positive short sleeves and this jacket would be plenty warm for me. The lowest it will get on average where I am going will be around 20 degrees Fahrenheit with "feels like" temperatures being ever colder. I think I am going to return this for a small and see how that works for me. I bought this because I thought it fit that bill and I was disappointed, but that may be because I got the wrong size. However, this jacket is really nice material and I know it will hold up well in the weather I am moving to. It has plenty of outside and inside pockets to hold all your items and keep them dry. I feel like this doesn't fit like it looks in the picture as well if that makes sense. UPDATE: I returned this jacket and reordered for a size small, blue jacket (which looks a lot cuter btw) and I love it, even though I hate jackets. It fits like I expected the first one to. In the picture it looks like it would fit flat and to sort of your figure, but it doesn't. I couldn't wear anything thicker than a medium thickness long sleeve shirt because of how it fits. It is a bit tight around my upper arms and shoulders, but a lot of my clothes fit like that because I am broad-shouldered and my upper arms are thicker, and it's fine with me. I love this jacket 100x more now that I ordered a smaller size, and a different color. I usually wear a medium in all jackets, so I ordered one, because although I have a small torso, my shoulders are broad and my upper arms are a bit thicker so I need room to move them. However if you are my size or a little bigger and want to layer, order a medium. I usually wear size small shirts and the small fits me like I want and where I wouldn't have room to layer. I am 5'3" and 150 pounds. So base what size you need off of this, but even if you don't like it, you get your return in the form of a gift card the day you drop your package off and can receive your new jacket in 2 days for free, so it's really no hassle. I love my jacket and am happy I returned and re-ordered! I will update my review to tell how well it holds up in mountain snow, cold, rain, and wind. However I think this jacket is somewhat large. It kind of bulges out in the back and sides and fits a lot thicker.
The jacket is well made. Most important! Follow the shops sizing chart NOT the Aikiki sizing chart. I can easily move my arms around and it doesn’t feel tight in the chest. I bought a large. I am heavy but like I said, I’m proportionate. Me: 206lbs / 5’7” / 40C bust / 33” waist / 40” hipsAfter reading the other reviews, take note that (weight) shouldn’t be a key factor. yes a flat/average butt. Why? Body shape! I am VERY proportionate. The pockets have a thick piece of fabric at the opening (see pics), hood is removable (see pics), theres an elastic band on the inside but it’s sown in (see pics). Another review said she is 5’7” and 40” hips and that it’s tight when she sits down. However she didn’t mention that she probably has a booty. . When I sit, I’m comfortable in the jacket. A little heavy and a good zipper. Jacket fits me well, not tight in the arms or around my body. Im 5’7” and have 40” hips but no butt. If you have a bigger chest than me, the large will probably be tight on you.
Super pleased with my purchase. It has an abundance of pockets for all the little things you need to carry along for a day on the mountain. I bought this for a ski trip to Beaver Creek, Colorado in late winter. I’ve had Columbia, Helly Hansen and Spider ski coats, to name a few, and this one held up beautifully in comparison. The temps were not shockingly cold, but enough that I can attest to its ability to keep me warm and dry.
Package was delivered with all pieces as advertised -- including two white plugs to keep air from leaking out. Some reviews have complained about missing items, but this one was complete. Initial impression -- well made and plenty sturdy to support my 200 lb weight.
Bought this waterproof, fleece ski jacket for my trip to Alaska, Great jacket for the cold, and often rainy Alaskan September.
GREAT PRODUCT! ! ! Wore it to the slopes the very next day I got it and it held up great! Definitely kept me dry and warm.
I got these for my mom, and I to say they have helped to walk better. Very comfortable and lite in weight. Highly recommend these shoes for work and walking.
I bought two braces for my husband, one for home and one for the cabin. He has commented that it is light weight and breathable, yet provides good support.
I also did not sweat under it like others that use a neoprene like fabric. I would definitely give this one a thumbs up! ! !. I have worn quite a few lumbar support braces, and although most are very supportive, my criteria for comfort is that the brace doesn’t shift up or make you sweat all day. The stretch straps really give it great security and support. I can say this that this is the most comfortable I have worn. I was able to perform my work duties as usual and only had to adjust it once.
after this was received, not a word was mentioned about "how much"! It's very well made and a great value. I ordered this for my husband and he loves it! He was all into "how much does it cost" when I was checking the products out on Aikiki. We will purchase again.
For 15 bucks you're getting a great product at a good price. I bought a pair of these for my wife as I own a few pairs of compression sleeves myself, other brands though. These are well constructed - good fabric and they stay tight.
Only thing I would love to see different is that there are more sizes. Im a small frame and would have loved to have a smaller strap for a tighter fit. I am very satisfied with the brace.
Wear it for running does not feel any pain, fit well with sock and shoe. Will keep wearing it. So far so good.
